Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident using JRNEY. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and service delivery work for our paid plans and one-time purchases.
1. How our service works
JRNEY operates on a preview-then-deliver model. Before any paid action is performed:
- Audit (preview): our AI scans your resume and shows you a detailed report of identified issues, scores across multiple categories, and a clear preview of what changes the optimization will make. This step ensures you know exactly what you are paying for.
- Optimization (delivery):only when you explicitly choose to proceed by clicking "Optimize" (or the equivalent action) does the AI perform the rewrite. At that point, the digital service is fully delivered.
This two-step process gives you complete transparency before any irreversible action occurs.
2. Refund eligibility
Core principle: once a digital service has been delivered at your request, it is non-refundable.
Services that have been delivered
The following are considered delivered services and are not eligible for a refund:
- AI resume optimizations that have been generated (the rewritten resume was produced and made available to you).
- Full audit reports that have been unlocked and viewed.
- Interview coaching sessions that have been started.
- Any other AI-powered feature that has been executed at your request.
Services that have NOT been delivered
You may request a refund in these cases:
- Unused one-time passes: if you purchased a pass (e.g., Resume Pass) and have not yet redeemed it, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.
- Technical failure: if a paid feature failed to produce results due to a technical error on our side (e.g., the optimization did not generate, the report did not load), contact us and we will either re-deliver the service or issue a full refund.
- Duplicate charges: if you were charged more than once for the same service or purchase, we will refund the duplicate amount.
3. Subscriptions
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel:
- Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
- You will not be charged for the next billing cycle.
- You retain access to your resumes and data, but AI features will no longer be available.
Subscription refunds
Because subscriptions grant access to on-demand AI services, refund eligibility depends on whether services were used during the billing period:
- No services used: if you have not used any paid AI features (optimizations, full audits, interviews) during the current billing period, you may request a refund within 7 days of the charge.
- Services used: if you have used any paid AI feature during the current billing period, the subscription fee for that period is non-refundable. Cancel to prevent future charges.
4. Your consent at the point of delivery
By initiating a paid action (clicking "Optimize," "Unlock Full Report," or similar), you:
- Confirm that you reviewed the audit preview and understand the scope of the service.
- Expressly request immediate performance of the digital service.
- Acknowledge that once the service is delivered, you lose the right of withdrawal for that specific service, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws (including EU Consumer Rights Directive, Article 16(m)).
5. How to request a refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund, email us at support@jrney.ai with:
- The email address associated with your JRNEY account.
- Your order or transaction ID (found in your Paddle payment receipt).
- A description of the issue or reason for the request.
We review refund requests within 3-5 business days. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle and returned to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.
6. Chargebacks
We strongly encourage you to contact us at support@jrney.ai before filing a dispute with your bank or payment provider. Chargebacks filed without prior communication may result in account suspension pending investigation. We are committed to resolving billing issues directly and promptly.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes affecting existing subscribers will be communicated via email.
